It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 central processing unit, 4G WiMax speeds, a 4.3-inch qHD put on show, and a dual-mode GSM/CDMA chipset. Features include HDMI-out, DLNA support, Wi-Fi, mobile phone Hotspot in support of up to eight campaign, 720p HD film capture, 1080p HD film playback, and secure data encryption. We plus like the kickstand. Call quality and overall performance were terrific. The bad: The Motorola photon 4G has a copious and bulky design, which might not be to everybody's taste. The Motoblur interface isn't in support of one and all, and we found Sprint ID to be an unwarranted add-on. The Webtop cut off functionality is pretty cool, but it requires a $129 co-conspirator. We predictable better photo quality not at home of the 8-megapixel camera. Today Google announced something new to go along with the new Nexus S 4G on Sprint. It's a new NFC based payment system called Google Wallet. It allows you to use your phone's NFC chip to buy things at supported places. You can use it in New York and San Francisco right now and it will roll out to the rest of the United States this summer. So Sprint and Motorola don't have a history of working together but they will soon. Motorola and Sprint announced that they've been collaborating and they have something new to announce on June 9th which is during WWDC 2011. It's rumored to be an Atrix 4G like phone called the photon 4G with a larger screen, dual core Tegra 2 chip, and an Atrix-like laptop dock available for it. So Verizon is getting a whole lot of new phones today, so if your contract is about to get done then you're in luck. The phones are the Droid X2 which will be $200 with a qHD screen and a Tegra 2 processor, the LG Revolution will support LTE and Netflix at $250, the Xperia Play will support really nice Android gaming with a slide out gaming pad at $200, and the HTC Trophy will be running Windows Phone 7 at $150. The photon 4G, will be available July 31st for the usual $200 on contract. To say the upcoming Android device will come loaded is an understatement: it'll ship with Gingerbread, a Tegra 2 dual-core 1GHz CPU, one full GB of RAM, a 4.3-inch qHD display, dual cameras (8 megapixel rear, VGA front) and 16GB of internal memory. Not surprisingly, Sprint's also integrating its signature Sprint ID feature into the user interface. While the device will be available to the general public on July 31st, Premier Customers will have the golden opportunity to get it online three days earlier. Link : community.sprint.com
