For the written article, visit www.phonebuff.com Video showing you how to disable (or enable) roaming on your Windows Phone 7. roaming is when your phone taps on to another carrier's network when your own carrier's network doesn't have coverage. This can allow you to make calls if you need to but it can quickly get expensive if your plan doesn't include roaming (as your carrier will charge you extra for it). To disable roaming on WP7, go to your phone's settings. Then go to cellular, and under roaming make sure that the "don't roam" option is selected. Obviously if you want to enable roaming, do the opposite.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know of my intent to help current and prospective Sprint customers aware of the problems associated with reception in and throughout the city of El Paso. According to your coverage detail map (coverage.sprint.com El Paso residents should receive good to fair coverage throughout the city. I have been surprised to hear many friends and colleagues complain about drop calls, weak and/or no signal. Colleagues at work have had to accept the fact that they can not make and/or accept calls while they are at work (see www.cellreception.com With my experience with Sprint, I received NO reception at my place of work (near Cotton St. and Paisano). I have been charged international calls "place in Mexico City", 450 miles away, despite records placing me in El Paso in the morning and afternoon. I have spoken with numerous customer representatives at Sprint and told that I would have to live with the reception. Eventually Sprint let me cancel one line of my family plan of four. I have asked Sprint to allow me to cancel the whole family plan but they refused. Because of this I have been left with no option but to use two separate phone carriers (Verizon and Sprint ...
