My kit set up after a practice. With the coated g2's and sound control hoops the kit has a sharp focused resposnive sound from the bright 12" mounted tom to the deep 16" floor tom. 14" A Custom fast crash has an amazing sound and decay so it is there when you want it and not longer. Paiste 502 crash is more for blending but is still powerful and bright to adapt to all music. 802 ride sounds good recorded and has a great bell sound. The DW9002 is as good as it gets for playing two feet bass and the customisation allows it to adapt to all types of play. Finally my special effects section. A highlight of the kit is an Everplay Extra snare from around the 60's which has been brought back to life. All original but when tuned tight gives a sharp crack and an excellent rim sound. The wuhan china is cheap, and not an obvious choice, and played hard has a really grating and super loud crash, but when played right in the right situation, it sounds perfect. The Pearl cowbell and quick release tambourine allow for different grooves with unique sounds. Overall, a mixed kit, but each addition has its place... Thanks for looking!
